Cam
Campbell Cooper (also known as Cam) is the main character of the book. She is 17 years old. Cam is negative at times. Cam’s negativity is a problem because her negativity impacts her family and friends. She doesn’t have a religion, nor does she believe in miracles. She believes that everything can be explained with science. Cam finds out that she is going to die soon and wants to do everything on her Flamingo List before she dies.
Perry
Perry is Cam's younger, Norwegian half sister and accompanies Cam on the trip to Promise, Maine. She is 11 years old and likes unicorns.
Alicia
Alicia is Cam’s mom. Alicia is optimistic and desperate to find a miracle for her daughter. She is also very hardworking.
Asher
Asher is a handsome athlete who takes a liking to Cam. He lets Cam and her family stay in his house when they first arrived at Promise, Maine. Asher is Cam's friend at first, but she and Asher eventually fall in love.
