The theme of the book The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey is sometimes you need to cause death to stay alive. “To the main gates… and through them… onto old hill cemetery road… and then toward new jerusalem.” Because they couldn't kill the anthropophagi they killed another family. “They’ve discovered an old man… or what remains of him… and the girl… or what remains of her.” If they had just killed all the anthropophagi the anthropophagi would not have killed the second family. “I smashed the muzzle against her groin and pulled the trigger.” When Will Henry kills the anthropophagi so he doesn’t die. “All the anthropophagi are dead.” If he had been a minute slower then he would be dead. That is why the theme of the book The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey is sometimes you need to cause death to stay alive.
The book The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey is an excellent book to read it has drama and fear all packed in one. This is one of the best horror books I have read before. In the beggining you learn the story of Will Henry an Pellinore Warthrop. This book is told from the perspective of a 12 year old boy who comes to live with a doctor. The best part is probably the climax and when we found out how Will Henry's dad died. Anybody who likes horror and mystery would like this book. I highly recommend reading it.
