SMART Interactive Display

Your new SMART Interactive Display is a device in itself that can be turned on and used as a whiteboard without a computer connected.

The Home screen of the board is like a control center to help you navigate between files, apps, and devices.

This whiteboard feature is built into the board and does not require the use of a computer connected to the board.

You can annotate websites in the browser apps under your favorites or in other apps added to your board.

Widgets are dynamic tools like a time, dice, spinner, etc that can be used on your SMART Display by clicking on the widget icon

Some file types (SMART Notebook, PDF, image, video) can be opened on your display from a USB Drive. **This is the recommended method for leaving files for a sub to use on the SMART display.

Extending your laptop display allows you to use your SMART display as a second monitor so that you can display something to students and do something different on your laptop.

If you choose to sign in to your board you may want to use the Lock Screen feature to keep others from accessing your account while you are out of the room.

When playing music through your computer, the audio will mute when you freeze/pause the screen because both the audio and video come through the HDMI cord that connects your computer to your display. Follow these steps to play audio through a different source than the display.

Whiteboards and other files that save to your display will save in the Files Library which is accessible from the Home Screen. In the Files library you can create folders, move files, rename files and delete files.
