A theme of Coraline, by Neil Gaiman , is Don’t be rude or there will be consequences
On page 60 the other mother said “You may come out once you’ve learned some manners,”And when you’re ready to be a loving daughter”.She picked coraline up and pushed her into a dim space behind the mirror.” In this case Coraline was being pretty rude to her other mother. She called her some names and declined spending time with her. This is also an example of how u shouldn’t be rude or there will be consequences. “She felt a sob welling up”
If Coraline was never rude to her other mother, then she wouldn’t have gotten locked behind the mirror.Again, this also proves my theme of how you shouldn’t be rude or there will be
Consequences.Another theme for Coraline, by Neil Gaiman , is Appreciate the people you have in your life“ Coraline was ready to go home and wanted her parents back”
The other mother started becoming very mean and distorted looking, and she started to realize that her regular parents are better than the others.“She set up a game to win her parents back and she won!”If she didn’t win her parents then she would have to stay in the other world and the Beldam would steal her soul. This is also an example of how you should appreciate the people that are in your life. Some central themes of Coraline, by Neil Gaiman , is Don’t be rude or there will be consequences and Appreciate the people you have in your life
