Coraline found the door a little bit after they moved in.Her parents didn't pay much attention to her, on the third day of living in the flat she found the garden.She asked her mother about the mysterious door and her mother decided to open it for her,it was just a brick wall there.While she was heading to bed a little dark shadow started to sing to her.The next day she went out on a walk and she started to talk to miss Spink and miss Forcible.There was also a grey mist while she was out.When she was done she decided to go to the upper flat and started to talk to the old man that lived there.He also had a group of mice.When she got home her mother started to talk to her about school.

The sun was out the next day and Coralines mother took her to get some clothes for school.When she got the she started look at a pair of rain boots and her mother asked her about how many hair clips she wanted.They exited the store and once they returned home Coraline asked her mother about the flat next to theirs,her mother explained that it was empty. Coraline found that there was barely any food in the house so her mother wen't out to get some.While her mother was away Coraline stole the key to the mysterious door, and she found that it wasn't a brick wall anymore instead a hallway.

She entered the dark hallway and found herself back at her house but different.And she met her other parents and they had button eyes.While she was in the different world she met a talking cat.She explained to the cat the she had saw him at her other house but he replied with a no.They had a brief conversation before the cat vanished.She stepped inside Miss Spink and Miss Forcibles flat and it turned out to be a theater.

She decided to leave her new world and head back to her old one.She entered her regular home and put the keys back on the cupboard , but she realized that her parents weren't back yet.Coraline decided to microwave herself some dinner.In the morning she found that her parents never came back.

She woke up and realized she didn't know where she was.She got out of bed and changed her clothes, and took out the apple and the stone that she had in her gown. She walked to the kitchen to find nobody there,then she walked to her other fathers study.She went to the mysterious door and found it locked.

She walked back to the kitchen and found her other Mother sitting there.Her other mother offered her a black beetle and Coraline replied rudely.Her other mother was very upset with her and put her in a dark space behind the mirror.She was feeling around for a way out and her hands touched a face.There were three other people in the closet that started to talk to her, and her eyes finally adjusted to the darkness and there were 3 shadows.

The other mother looked a little better than before.Her other mother walked through the mirror and picked Coraline off of the floor, took her to the kitchen setting  her on the counter. Coraline really wanted her parents back and the three ghosts souls,so she decided to set up a game with the other to win them back.Her other mother agreed and let her search around the house.She looks through her stone and found a green light coming from her room.She went looking for the souls and came back to the house with one other soul.The other mother didn't look very happy but she handed coraline the key to get back inside.Once she entered the house she found a trap door and decided to in it,inside she found her father that looked lifeless. He explained to Coraline that she shouldn't have been there,the other mother was forcing him to hurt her.As she was leaving he lunged at her. 

Coraline walked to higher flat where the older man lived.She knocked on the door and it opened on it's own.Once she was inside it smelt unpleasant and the old man started to talk to her.The tiny voices tried to convince her to stay but she didn't budge.

Coraline returns back to the house and the Beldam is waiting for her.The other mother tells her that she still needs to find her parents.She knows exactly where they are ,but  the Beldam doesn't know that. She grabs the snow globe off the mantel and runs through the door trapping her in the other world.Shes back home and her parents are back! Coraline has the key the beldam gave her wrapped around her neck and the beldam sent her right hand to get it. Coraline needs to keep the key so she gets rid of it by trapping it inside a well.
