Your academic success directly links to regular attendance and punctuality. Important work occurs in classes each day and the opportunity for teachers and students to interact is the basis for high academic achievement. The quality of these experiences cannot be duplicated. Instructional contact is essential to your academic progress and mastery of skills and knowledge. Tardies, whether excused or unexcused, affect your academic performance and grades.
School begins at 7:35 a.m. and concludes at 2:30 p.m. The expectation at North High is that all students will arrive on time and attend their scheduled classes throughout the school day. Parents are encouraged to check their student’s attendance regularly. Excessive tardiness will require students to serve extended detentions on Tuesdays or Thursdays as a consequence. Consequences will range from written warnings to three hour after school detentions w/ loss of privileges (LOP) Parents, please continue to encourage your student's to make every effort to arrive to class on time.
Tardies(less than 15 minutes late) Consequences will occur in increments of 3's.
