Parking Regulations
We recognize the desire of many students to be able to drive to school so we will be accepting applications to park
from senior, junior, and sophomore students. Students must have a valid driver license and a properly insured
vehicle. The parking fee for the 2024/2025 school year is $85.00. There will not be reserved spots. Parking spaces
will be on a "first come, first served" daily basis. All fines and fees must be paid before a permit is issued. Parking
fee will also need to be paid in full before obtaining a permit.
Below you will find more detailed information and guidelines you must agree to in order to purchase a parking permit:
Seniors, juniors and sophomores may obtain parking permits. Students must possess a valid driver's license and have their car(s) insured. Parking permits will not be given/sold to students who have a driver's permit.
Please remember school attendance and timeliness are important to your success at school and to maintain your parking pass. Students who accrue 7 or more tardies and/or unexcused absences to the first block of the day may have parking privileges suspended for the reminder of the semester. Unexcused absences are marked when a student is more than 15 minutes late to a class.
Parking tags are the property of North High. They may not be sold or transferred to other students for any reason.
Tags must by visibly displayed on the registered car's rear view mirror.
There will be no assigned parking spaces. STUDENT PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN SPOTS MARKED DESIGNATED FOR STAFF AND VISITORS. Students who park in a location other than the student lot will result in a $15 fine per incident and may not be eligible to purchase a parking permit in later years.
Lost parking permits will be replaced for a $15 fee.
The Parkway School District retains authority to conduct routine patrols of student parking lots and inspections of the exteriors of student vehicles on school property.
The Parkway school District may inspect the interiors of student vehicles whenever a school official has reasonable suspicion to believe illegal or unauthorized materials are contained inside the vehicle.
Students engaging in behavior which is unsafe (i.e. speeding, disregarding driving rules, etc.) may have their parking permit revoked on the first offense.
Students may NOT return to the parking lot during school hours for any reason.
Any student caught leaving campus without proper authorization during school hours will be warned once. On the second offense, the student's parking permit will be revoked.
Repeated violations of these conditions shall result in increasingly severe consequences, including revocation of parking privileges or suspension from school.
