Hi Parents!
Thank you so much for bringing your kids to church this week. We love partnering with you, and we’re grateful for the investment you’re making in your child’s faith.
Scroll down to keep the conversation going at home. Remember—discipleship doesn’t just happen at church. It happens in the car, around the table, and in the everyday moments you share with your kids.
Here are five discussion questions with simple answers parents can use to review the lesson and spark conversation at home:
What happened to Paul and the others while they were traveling on the ship?
A huge storm hit, and the ship was tossed around by strong winds and waves. Everyone was afraid they might not survive.
Why did the people on the ship start to lose hope?
The storm lasted many days, the sky stayed dark, and nothing they tried could fix the situation.
What message did God give Paul during the storm?
God told Paul not to be afraid and promised that everyone on the ship would survive, even though the ship would be destroyed.
What happened when the ship broke apart near land?
Everyone made it safely to shore, just like God promised—some swam and others floated on pieces of the ship.
The big idea was “Don’t give up on God when bad things happen.” What do you think that means for your life this week?
It means we can keep trusting God, even when things are hard or scary, because He is always with us and keeps His promises.
