Parkvale School Teachers and Students use G Suite - or Google Suite. Google Suite includes G Mail, G Docs, Slides, Sheets and Calendar. There are some other Google applications also e.g Hangouts, Forms that may be used.
No software needs to be downloaded as when students sign in with their google account they have access through their chrome browser. All G Suite tools when used in a Parkvale School account are able to be monitored through Hapara Teacher Dashboard. All files created in your child's google drive automatically get shared with their teachers. See more detail about the Teacher Dashboard on the Hapara page
All students from Year 4 - 6 have their own school google account . It ends with parkvale.school.nz. Year 2 and 3 students sometimes use google, but they have a class account so all files are stored in one drive, not a personal drive as is the case with Y4 - 6 children.
As some children have their own personal gmail account it is important to ensure when children are doing school work they are signed into their parkvale.school.nz. A reminder, it is not recommended that children under 13 have their own google account.
