Third graders venture into the woods on campus to create survival tools and shelters, providing the context to explore the ways in which environments, values, and colonization shape how cultures meet their basic needs.
Park’s outdoor StoryWalk brings the library to the woods with permanent book displays designed to lead readers along a trail. Whether for a class out on the trail during the school day, or a family taking a weekend stroll, children are engaging in learning and building community by connecting shared stories with the wonders of the Park campus.
