We believe that the Humanities are at the forefront of an ever changing world and have a huge responsibility in preparing young people for life after school, therefore analysis, understanding and tolerance is at the heart of our curriculum. Our aim is to inspire students to learn about and question what they see around them, broadening their horizons and expectations.
The Humanities Department at Park Lane International School is focused on creating a learning environment where students feel supported, free to express their opinions and encouraged to achieve their best.
Our teachers place great emphasis on student progress over time as well as attainment (specific values). We believe this approach offers our students the best chance to develop as lifelong learners in the spirit of the International Baccalaureate.
At Park Lane Secondary School, the Humanities at KS3 are taught as separate subjects in Geography and History. At Key Stage 4 (IGCSE) and 5 (IB) students can choose a combination of subjects depending on the option blocks.
