This guide will help you use the Cricut Maker 3 available in the Idea Lab.
Most of this information is intended for the beginner, so we start at the very beginning. There are librarians in the Idea Lab who can help you practice what you see on these pages. Please feel free to discuss your findings with them, and as always, don’t hesitate to ask for help whenever you need it.
A Cricut is a cutting machine that enables you to create beautiful crafts using a variety of materials, including paper, vinyl, felt, and more. Depending on which Cricut model you’re using, you may also be able to draw, emboss, and create folding lines.
There are a few types of Cricut machines. For the Idea Lab, we will focus on the Cricut Maker 3.

To use the Cricut, you will need to use Cricut’s software: Cricut Design Space. Use the link below to download it to your computer. Once it is downloaded, you will need to make an account to log in. You can access your designs on any computer by logging into your account.
