This week, students figured out the difference between mixtures and solutions. They used tools to separate mixtures based on the physical properties. When we come back from break, we will start to explore chemical properties.

We continued to practice our powers of 10 this week. I will be gone on maternity leave starting Monday, October 20th. Lisa Hollingsworth will be my sub while I am out. Students will continue to focus on decimal understanding with Ms. Lisa.

This week, we will be working on a project over our book study.

We have recently been covering the first colonies in North American.  These have included the establishment of New Spain, the first French Colonies including Quebec, and the first English Colonies of Roanoke and Jamestown.
