We are starting our new book study! We will be practicing different reading skills while learning about storytelling, descriptive writing, and writing and sharing opinions.

We are taking notes and working on different grammar skills each week. We will continue to work on our 5-a-day.

This week we focused on multiplying multi digit whole numbers. Students are showing so much progress this year already! 

Students have begun their exploration of nurse logs by considering how the plant life that grows on them gets the matter needed to grow. They will plan, carry out, and evaluate investigations that provide them with evidence that plants get the matter they need to grow primarily from air and water and the energy they need to grow from the Sun.

We continued learning our states and capitals.  We also began our unit on Colonial America, covering the middle and southern colonies this week.
