How to Turn On the VPN (Windows 10/11)
Open the Start Menu (Windows key)
Click the Start button (Windows icon) on the bottom-left of your screen.
Type “VPN Settings” in the search bar and click “VPN Settings”.
(Or go to Settings > Network & Internet > VPN)
5. Click connect on the VPN (School VPN/Pared Check Point)
First-Time Setup (If this setup fails, please check the alternate setup steps below these)
If this is the first time using the VPN, it may ask you to confirm a few things.
Just press Next > Next > Finish.
Click “Connect”
Press the Connect button.
If it asks you to “add email address”, this is actually asking for your username, not your email.
For newer staff the username will be Firstname.Lastname
For older staff the username will be LastnameFirstletterofFirstname
Example: John Smith could be John.Smith or SmithJ
The password will be the same as your Microsoft password, that being the one used to log into your PC.
Once logged in you won't need to log in again. The VPN can quickly be accessed via the Action center.
The action center can be opened either by clicking the Wifi, Sound & Battery Icon on your task bar or by pressing Windows + A
By clicking the VPN icon in the Action center you can quickly activate and deactive the VPN
If the first time setup above did not work, please try the steps below for an alternate setup.
Alternate setup: Manually configuring the VPN
Click the arrow dropdown next to PARED Check Point to reveal the “Remove” button. Click “Remove” and Click “Confirm”.
2. Click “Add VPN”
3. Fill out the details per the image below and click “Save”
4. Click Connect on the newly created VPN
5. . There will be an info pop-up. Click Next
6. You will be advised that sign in is required. Click Next and enter your username and Password. It asks for your email address but this field will instead require your username.

Note: Please only use the VPN as needed, and never at school. This is because makes other applications slow, especially high bandwith ones. Only use the VPN when not at school and when needed. Please remember to turn the VPN off when you are finished.
