Wellness Wednesday

The West Campus Counselors honored the hard work of our teachers and staff by providing coffee, fruits, water, and snacks during our "Wellness Wednesday" activity. This "Wellness Wednesday" fell during Teacher Appreciation Week.


Happy Valentines Day!

The "Mind Matters Club" invited Pirates to a table, during lunch, to pick up a treat and give a Random Act of Kindness to another!   This is the national week of "Random Acts of Kindness."

During the month of January & February, West Campus focused on "Inquisitive," in our "Choose P.R.I.D.E." Spirit Campaign. The West Campus Counselors showed a movie, " Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" and let a vision board activity, during lunch, in S.W.A.G.

During the month of November & December, West Campus focused on "Respect," in our Choose P.R.I.D.E. Spirit Campaign. The West Campus Counselors showed a video on Respect, during lunch, in S.W.A.G.

BC2M Club

The "Bring Change to Mind" Club participated in a conference at Paramount Pictures Studio over the weekend. Kudos to our Club Advisor, Mrs. Douds, and chaperones, Ms. Aceves & Mr. Alvarez!

Dia de Los Muertos

The West Campus Counselors honored the hard work of our teachers and staff by providing coffee, fruits, water, and snacks during our "Wellness Wednesday" activity. This "Wellness Wednesday" fell during Spirit Week. Counselors can be seen participating for "Adam Sandler" day.

Productive Citizen

During the month of October, West Campus focused on "Productive," in our Choose P.R.I.D.E. Spirit Campaign. The West Campus Counselors presented on being a Productive Citizen, during lunch, in S.W.A.G. The presentation included information on Community Service, Work Permits, Resumes, etc. Additional information was posted on Schoology throughout the month.

Breast Cancer Awareness

ADHD Awareness

The West Campus Counselors facilitated a lunch time activity where students were able to create "Stress Balls"  to utilitze as a coping strategy. This activity was in conjunction with ADHD Awareness.

NCAA Presentation

Long Beach Community College representatives came to meet with our scholar-athletes to inform them about NCAA guidelines/ requirements. 

World Mental Health Day

Bully Prevention Month

The West Campus Counseling Department observed Bully Prevention in the month of October. Information was posted on Schoology and  an "Anti-Bullying" movie entitled "Fat Boy Chronicles" was shown during lunch in S.W.A.G.

The West Campus Counselors and Academic Coaches provided a day of information and activities for all students schoolwide.
