The Counseling Staff organized a Asian American Pacific Islander Month celebration for students and staff. Activities included school decor, a Bingo activity, fun facts in the Daily Announcements, and a dance performance by the Senior Campus Pacific Islander Club.

Community Service Presentation

Andres Gonzalez, guest speaker from the City of Paramount, reviewed important information about Community Service; how to get involved, and potential jobs for students while they are in high school.

Wellness Wednesday

The Counseling Departmemt honored the PHS West teachers and school staff by providing them with coffee, muffins and healthy snacks. They were also provided with music and affirmation cards.

Schoolwide Wellness Summit

The West Campus Counselors and Academic Coaches organized a Schoolwide Wellness Summit. The day consisted of activities, such as Mindfulness Meditation, Digital Vision Board, Doodle Activity, Escape Room and Line Dancing. During passing periods, uplifing music was being played over the PA, with ASB and AVID students encouraging students with cheers and posters with positive messages.

Counselor Appreciation Week

Thank you to ASB for honoring us by highlighting each of us in the daily announcements and decorating our office!

Chinese New Year 2022

The Counseling Staff organized a Chinese New Year celebration for students and staff on Januray 31st - February 1st.

Wellness Wednesday

The Counselors/ Social Worker honored the PHS West teachers and school staff by providing them with a space for relaxation, rejuventation and to practice self-care through mindfulness and meditation. They were also gifted with resources as a takeaway, coffee and refreshments.

Teacher Appreciation

In preparation for Wellness Wednesday on December 8th (a Self-Care day for Teachers/ Staff), the West Campus Counselors/ Social Worker prepared personal invitations and delivered them with coffee and donuts!

Gratitude Activity

Counselors/ Social Worker partnered with the PE Department to provide students the opportunity to create "THANKFUL" cards during the 1st Annual Turkey Trot!
