Emergency Broadband Benefit- The Federal Communications Commission started a temporary program to help eligible families pay for Home Internet service during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) includes up to $50 a month discount on Internet service. For Information on eligibility (Click here)
Everyone on- helps bring low-cost internet service and affordable computers to those who need it. EveryoneOn works with a wide range of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and device providers to feature their low-cost internet service programs and computers. Internet For All Now: The California Emerging Technology Fund has provided access to affordable offers, as well as a number to call 1-844-841-INFO (4636) to assist parents.

UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM EAF AGENCIES
Families must call their nearest agency during the specified hours to make an appointment. Once appointment is made they will go through an eligibility screening process and application will need to be filled out for approval.

The federal McKinney-Vento Act is legistation that ensures that children and youth experiencing housing challenges have full and equal access to an appropriate public education and that they experience success in school. The program protects children who are living in transitional housing situations and states that any student lacking a fixed, regular or adequate place to live is eligible for this program.
Specifically, if students live under any of these conditions:
Living in a shelter (family, youth or domestic violence shelter or transitional living program)
Living in a motel, hotel or weekly rate housing
Living in a house or apartment with more than one family because of economic hardship or loss
Living in an abandoned building, in a car, at a campground or on the street
Living in substandard housing (without electricity, heat or water)
Living with friends or family because you are a runaway or unaccompanied youth

Emergency housing assistance
Kingdom Causes will help link families to a shelter or screen for potential rental assistant programs.
Champions of Caring Connections offers emergency services for families, single adults, and youth such as motel vouchers, referral to shelters, food pantry, grocery gift cards, clothing, and hygiene items
Casa Youth Shelter provides emergency temporary shelter for youth, ages 12-17 who are homeless, abused, or struggling with a crisis.
The Whole Child helps families who are homeless, or on the brink of homelessness, chart a path out of their current situation into permanent housing.
HOPICS provides housing and behavioral health referrals, case management, benefits assistance, and transportation for single adults and families who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.
WLCAC assists homeless individuals and their families by providing temporary shelter, transitional housing, and long-term Section 8 housing.
