Second International Conference on Information Systems in Higher Education (ISHE) 2023

Second International Conference on Information Systems in Higher Education (ISHE) 2023 was held on 17th - 18th March 2023 at Paragon International University (Phnom Penh, Cambodia).

ISHE aims to provide a place where scholars can discuss Information Systems perspectives in the Higher Education area. It can be issues related to the design, development and use of Information Systems in Higher Education. Participants can share case studies and discuss Information Systems professional practice, research and teaching. The ISHE provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and the latest research results from universities and industries. 

Research areas

The scope of the conference included, but was not limited to, the following areas: 

• Design and development of Information Systems in Higher Education

• Enterprise Resource Planning

• Modeling and Simulation

• Smart Campus

• Software Engineering 

• IT Education and its applications

Different kinds of papers were solicited, including research papers, lessons learned, status reports, discussion papers, etc.

Keynote Speakers

Dr Sophea PRUM

Dr. Sophea Prum received her PhD degree from the University of La Rochelle, France. With over 10 years of experience in both international academic institutions and industries especially expertise in AI, FinTech and Business Development, Dr Sophea PRUM is a visionary leader who is passionate about applying technology to transform traditional to smart industry & society adapted to the I.R 4.0 era

Dr Phutphalla KONG 

Dr Phutphalla KONG earned his PhD in Science and Technology Engineering from the University of Mons, Belgium. Currently, he is a lecturer and researcher in Artificial Intelligent at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) and a research and development coordinator at the Institute of Digital Research and Innovation (IDRI) in the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT). He has experience teaching and conducting research in the field for more than 10 years.

Dr Bob Nanthakorn

Since 2021 Dr Bob Nanthakorn is a research associate at the Thammasat Business School (Thammasat University) in Bangkok / Thailand. He graduated in 2021 from the University of Linkoping / Sweden, where he was an industrial PhD student at the Chair of Management and Mechanical Engineering. 

In his research work, he focuses on two fields: The usage of IT in education (e.g., remote learning, learning during the pandemic, digital divide) and sustainable production methods (e.g., circular economy strategies, closed-loop supply chains, remanufacturing).

Dr Syed Azharuddin

Dr Syed Azharuddin, Professor of Behavioural Finance with International Business &  Entrepreneurship, Head of the Department of Commerce in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. He has almost 32 years of teaching experience with approximately 200 lectures in different seminars, conferences and workshops. 

He published more than 50 papers including Scopus indexed. He is a member of the NAAC peer team and a paper setter examiner of the Public Service Commission of three states in India.
