As a graduate from the PVCC Dietetic Technology program, I am very excited to be teaching. I am also an alumnus of Scottsdale Community College, graduating from the Culinary Arts program. My career in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics has spanned over 8 years. My background includes food-service, prenatal, early childhood, and sports nutrition. I have worked in resorts, fine dining, meal prep, private practice, and community nutrition. I love anything food related: cooking, baking, entertaining, and eating! In 2022, I competed in my first National Physique Competition in the True Novice category. I am a native Phoenician, born and raised in the West Valley. Traveling, exploring new restaurants, and anything active in the outdoors are just a few of my hobbies.
My philosophy: Food is meant to be savored and enjoyed. Food can give us energy and make us feel good. It can help nurture our souls while bringing about comfort and healing. It is a universal language that can connect us to the world, our family, and our friends. My hope for each of my students is to gain a better understanding of how to help people make these connections while understanding scientific principles of food.
