Employee and Organizational Learning and Instructional/Technology Training /Support are two college areas that have provided direct support for employee and organizational learning over the last 20 years. In 2011 the Center for Teaching and Learning was opened in Q Building to provide a more centralized support for the college employees. In 2013, E&OL relocated to the KSC Building to better support the organizational and employee learning needs of the college. In 2020 the college collected input and options to provide a redesign and relocation of these areas to enhance and expand the teaching and learning support provided. During fall 2021, the name was changed to the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Employee Engagement as an umbrella structure to support teaching, learning, and employee engagement college-wide.
The core value of the college is learning. PVCC encourages and supports learning at three levels — student, employee, and organizational — and the integrative relationship between the three levels. Learning at Paradise Valley Community College means increasing the capacity of our students, our employees, and the college itself to achieve their goals. PVCC acknowledges organizational learning as a means to improve our college continuously. The CTLEE serves to support this purpose.
