My name is Monique Bolden and I will be teaching Women's Studies, U.S. History, and AP U.S. History here at Paradise Honors High School for the 2019-2020 school year. I am a native of Ypsilanti, Michigan. I have lived in Arizona since July of 2015. After graduating from Michigan State University with a B.A. in History with a minor in English and my teaching certification, I taught high school for fourteen years. While teaching 9th-12th grades Language Arts and Social Studies, I went back to school for my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master's Degree in Reading. Here in Arizona, I taught at Basis Goodyear for two years. At Basis, I taught Humanities, ELA, and World History. I love spending time with my family, reading, listening to music, and watching baseball and football games.
