Students in Visual and Performing Arts classes created their own original artwork after studying women illustrators, artists, and writers.

For Women's History Month, students in the Painting classes at PLP studied the work of Alma Thomas and created replicas of her work demonstrating knowledge of basic color theory and Expressionist paint application. Students in Photography classes studied the work of Lorna Simpson and created photographic collages with a female figure as a central focus.
