In 2022 our GATE team worked hard to confirm seven ability domains to build PHS GATE provision upon.

They are:

  1. Academic / intellectual - Mātauranga, Kaitiakitanga and Tikanga

  2. Creative / wisdom / thinking skills - Mātauranga

  3. Culture Specific abilities and qualities - Ngā Mahi a Rēhia, Tikanga

  4. Physical/Sport - Ngā Mahi a Rēhia,Tikanga

  5. Social Leadership - Rangatiratanga, Kaitiakitanga,Tikanga, Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga

  6. Technology - Mātauranga

  7. Visual & Performing Arts - Ngā Mahi a Rēhia, Kaitiakitanga

Who we are

The PHS GATE team is overseen by Jo Dwan (GATE coordinator) and the senior leader in charge, Lynette Archer.

In 2023 our mighty mentoring team also includes Sue Mclachlan, Mel Carson, Glenn Hooper, Kerren Langdon, and Angela Wilmott.
