Food Chains and Food Webs
Food Chains
Food chains show the way living things in a community depend on each other for food. They are made up of different groups of organisms called
* Producers * Consumers * Herbivores * Carnivores *Omnivores * Decomposers
To find out more about these groups that make up a food chain click on the link below.
When making a food chain you need to remember what how to make them. Each food chain must start with a Producer (plant), an organism that uses the sun to produce its own food. The arrow shows what it is eaten by, which is a herbivore or a plant eater. This is then eaten by a carnivore which is a meat eater.
