Throop Elementary School has established a strong partnership with prominent community entities, forming a STEM Advisory Board to ensure their curriculum aligns with industry standards. They provide students with an expansive view into STEM careers through initiatives like guest speaker sessions and an annual Career Fair, combined with specialized career exploration units. Beyond the regular curriculum, students have access to a range of extracurricular STEM activities such as Ram Robotics and the Science Club. Throop is committed to inclusivity, making extra efforts to engage underrepresented groups in STEM experiences and career opportunities. This comprehensive approach not only prepares students for the future but also aims to narrow the existing disparity in the STEM domain.

Throop Elementary has forged a robust partnership with IU Health, Orange County Community Foundation, Electricom, Gwaltney, and Inliner, uniting them under the ambit of its STEM Advisory Board to foster a rich, industry-relevant STEM learning environment. This coalition facilitates a two-way discourse, where the board's expert insights from various sectors help refine Throop's STEM curriculum, ensuring it remains dynamic, relevant, and finely tuned to the evolving industry standards. In turn, the feedback garnered from the advisory board empowers Throop Elementary to make informed adjustments to their STEM programming, significantly enhancing its efficacy and the long-term impact on students, preparing them for a future filled with innovative challenges and opportunities.
