What is composting?
What is composting?
Compost is decomposing organic waste that breaks down into soil.
Why does composting save water?
Why does composting save water?
Organic waste such as fruit & vegetable peels are over 50% water, and throwing them away seals all the water in a landfill. However when organic waste decomposes it allows its water to evaporate into the ecosystem. In addition to this, putting compost around plants will stop water from both evaporating & draining away from the plants when you water them.
