The Learning Supervision and Evaluation at the Secondary School is centered at the core belief that a teacher is a life-long learner and our processes help you in:
1) modeling personal and professional life-long learning for our students, demonstrating that learning is ongoing and should push us out of our comfort zones;
2) building classrooms which are places of learning, both for students and teachers; therefore, we constantly strive to build upon and improve our instructional practices in order to provide quality, meaningful, and authentic learning experiences for our students;
3) reflecting which deepens professional practice and positively impacts student learning;
4) collaborating and knowledge sharing which helps building better educational practices.
Our processes englobe a variety of collaborative strategies that are centered on student learning improvement. You can collaborate either at a teacher-teacher, teacher-student, and teacher-leader level.
The instruments used are:
1) Mini-observation (10 min)
2) Coaching Cycle with our Secondary Instructional Coach
3) Peer-Observation with self-reflection (across departments)
4) Department Goals
5) Collaborative Unit Planning
