Hi everyone! I’m Joana, a senior at PASPOA, and I’m thrilled to be serving as the Secretary General at POAMUN VII! It is an honor to take part in this conference’s secretariat, because POAMUN has shaped my love for MUN so deeply. I have loved Model United Nations since I was 11, and over the last 6 years I have become heavily devoted to learning about foreign affairs, in addition to being involved in several conferences all over Brazil. I love watching delegates grow in confidence through debate and I hope I can do that at this incredible conference that has meant so much to me. I am very grateful for this opportunity to grow as an SecGen, contribute to my favorite conference, and meet our chairs and delegates with open arms! I am so excited to meet all of you!

Hello everyone! I am Artur Pasqualotto, a sophomore at PASPOA. I am honored and excited to serve as the Under-Secretary-General of UN Committees for the seventh edition of POAMUN. What I love most about MUN is how it allows students to step into the world of diplomacy, debate real global issues, and understand different perspectives. MUN has helped me grow not only as a speaker but also as a leader and teammate. It is a space where we can challenge ourselves, meet new people, and create unforgettable memories. As Under-Secretary-General of UN Committees, I am looking forward to helping make POAMUN VII an organized, engaging, and meaningful experience for every delegate. For me, POAMUN shaped my trajectory from the start; it’s the environment where I met the best delegates, had the best laughs, and the most stirring debates. I joined MUN in 2024 and built my confidence of public speaking, since then I have been participating in conferences all over Brazil and contributed to my community by voicing my opinion and defending others’. For me, POAMUN is a truly special conference, as not only did it mark the start of my model UN journey when I was 11, but it also allowed me to create incredible memories with special people while engaging in productive debates on complex issues. Model UN has been crucial to my growth as a person, providing me with a variety of skills and my love for global affairs. My favorite part of Model UN is to watch delegates grow through debate, the formation of a community, and overall, the opportunity it gives us to apply creative solutions to problems in our world.
