Esteemed delegates, advisors, sponsors, and leadership,

It is my utmost pleasure to welcome you all to the 7th edition of POAMUN, a conference that I hold so dear to my heart. My name is Joana Sfoggia Bittencourt, and this year I have the honor to serve as your Secretary-General. My own journey with MUN has led me to this moment - I started as a shy, 6th grade delegate and grew to be more confident, knowledgeable, and successful in both my academic and personal life. POAMUN was the stepping stone to who I am today, and it is my main goal to ensure this iteration of the conference provides an environment for delegates to thrive and hone the invaluable skills that are leadership, collaboration, and public speaking. 

This year's theme is “For a world rewritten by innovation”, and our conference has the goal to recognize the changing landscapes of our time through our wide range of committees. We embody innovation and welcome all delegates, regardless of experience and interests. We strive to promote diplomacy, encourage the development of a variety of skills, and encourage delegates to step out of their comfort zones.

The POAMUN VII Secretariat have been working tirelessly to create a memorable conference for all delegates.
