Who We Are

Steven has deep roots in south Louisiana. He grew up in Baton Rouge, and after graduating from Catholic High, he got a BS in Architecture in 2008 and an M.Arch from UL Lafayette in 2009. After graduate school, he honed his skills as a designer in Alexandria, working on multiple award-winning projects at CARBO Landscape Architecture before moving to Nashville and working for three years as an architectural designer at Scott Wilson Architect. Back in South Louisiana, after further training in design/build, Steven puts his diverse skill set to use at Palustris Design Studio as owner and principal.

With demonstrated skill and experience in both Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Steven can solve complex design issues, integrating architectural and landscape design into a seamless composition that enhances the experience and appearance of any site.

When not in the office, he can be found outdoors—exploring, hunting, and fishing as well as advocating for public land access, working in the wood shop, or in the garden—experimenting with new plants

Sixty pounds of enthusiasm and fueled by a love of snuggles, fetch, and zoomies. She keeps things interesting by demanding breaks to throw the ball at least three times daily.
