Small Groups
Small groups for support and growth
Small group counseling in a middle school setting involves bringing together a small number of students (typically 4-8) who share similar concerns, issues, or developmental goals. These sessions are led by a school counselor and are designed to provide a safe, supportive environment where students can discuss their experiences, learn from one another, and develop essential skills.
Purpose:
Academic Support: Helping students develop better study habits, time management skills, and strategies for academic success.
Social and Emotional Development: Addressing issues such as self-esteem, peer relationships, conflict resolution, and managing emotions.
Career Awareness: Introducing students to the concept of career exploration, goal setting, and the importance of education in achieving future aspirations.
