Computer Fundamentals
In this introductory course, students will become familiar with the basic principles of a personal computer, including the internal hardware, the operating system, and software applications. Students will gain practice in using key applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation software, as well as understanding social and ethical issues around the Internet, information, and security. During this course, students will engage in learning many digital literacy and computer science topics. Units contain a mix of unplugged and plugged activities through hands-on exploration and programming in different environments.
