This course focuses on fundamentals of computers and their functionality. Students will define the functions and uses of computers, and learn about various types of computers. They will study the basic computer system components and their roles. They will learn about computer hardware, including storage, processing, and input and output devices.

This course focuses on fundamentals of interactive computer game creation. Students will learn about the design process for creating a gaming program, including criteria and constraint identification, content research and storyboard creation, study computer programming concepts that are essential to game development, including program flow modeling, program code creation, and result evaluation and modification practices.

**Students will have the opportunity to earn their ICT Gaming Essentials Digital Tool Certificate (PROSO802)**

The ICT Cyber Security course focuses on fundamentals of personal online security and safety. Students will define challenges and solutions of cybersecurity, including Internet and social media safety, cyber-ethics, and copyright issues. Learn about threats to computer systems and ways to secure their computers Learn topics especially relevant to students, such as cyberbullying, inappropriate texting, online gaming, and risk mitigation for young or new users of online media.

**Students will have the opportunity to earn their ICT Web Design Essentials Digital Tool Certificate (PROSO808)**

This course focuses on fundamentals of designing Web sites. Students will learn to identify elements of a Web page, and will evaluate the aesthetics and functionality of Web sites. They will learn the steps in the Web design process, such as determining Website purpose, goals and target audience, and planning the site content, structure and navigation. They will also explore Web authoring tools. Students will also be introduced to the technical aspects of the Internet and the World Wide Web.
