The pinch method is used to make many different kinds of pottery.
The pinch pot can be functional or sculptural depending on what you are going for.

This is when you pinch and pull the sides of clay to shape it as you want.
You start out with a round ball of clay.s
2. Then push your thumb in the middle of the clay ball. Work with the ball in your hand not on table.
3. Then start pinching and turning controlling the thickness of the pot.
4. Be careful not to pinch it to thin and make it uneven.
5. Keep Rotating the ball as you pinch.
6. Stop when you get to the starting point.
7. Flatten the bottom by gently tapping it on a flat surface. Once it hardens a bit add details by carving.

Draw a design that you would like to design on the egg.
Create 2 pinch pot to combine together to form an egg.
Once the eggs are leather hard create interesting designs and patterns through carving, impressions and attaching.
The properly apply underglazes.
