Counseling Mission
The mission of Palmyra-Macedon High School’s comprehensive school counseling program is to provide all students of Palmyra-Macedon High School, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, or socioeconomic status, with innovative and practical academic experiences. Student academic, career, and personal/social development are addressed through individual planning, classroom guidance, responsive services, and consultation (ASCA, 2005). As School Counselors, we will advocate for all students of Palmyra-Macedon High School to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach his or her potential. The school counselors of this counseling program collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff, and parents to create a system of support for academic achievement for the students of Palmyra Macedon High School.
