On this site:
- At the top of this site, you will be able to navigate to the Assignment Expectations page and the Resources page along with this Home page.
- Under Assignment Expectations, you will see the project expectations and specifications.
- You will also be able to view scholarly journal resources. There is a Q&A to help you learn about this skill, a graphic organizer to help you extract useful information from the article that you use, and a scholarly journal rubric that will be used to grade how well you have filled out your scholarly graphic organizer (20 points total.)
- Next, you will see annotated bibliography resources. There is a Q&A to help you learn about this skill, a quick start guide that you can use to help you write your annotations, an annotated bibliography rubric (which will be used to grade your annotated bibliography (50 points total.) , and a side by side example of two annotated bibliography entries and feedback about how well they have written their annotations.
- Following, there are additional resources that are there to help you with writing, as needed.
- Underneath, you will see a rough draft checklist to check your writing against prior to turning in your final draft.
- Finally, there is an Informational Writing Rubric that totals 20 points, however the final grade will be multiplied by three to give you a total of 60 points possible for your written paper.
- Please note: for this project, you will also create a presentation for an additional grade for your teacher.
- Under Resources, you will be able to link to books/eBooks, scholarly journal articles, web articles, and primary sources (you MUST use one scholarly journal article in your research) along with at least one book source.
