AdvanceD Placement Enrollment Guidelines

PCHS offers a wide selection of Advanced Placement Courses.

Advanced Placement (AP) is an academic program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers rigorous, college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.

If you're requesting an AP course for the next school year, it is important to notify your counselor about your plan.

It is also important to review and take the steps outlined here for enrollment in specific departments and classes.

Courses are listed by academic department (see drop down above) and include UC A-G course subject area:

A. History/Social Science, B. English, C. Mathematics, D. Science, E. Language Other than English, F. Visual & Performing Arts

G. Approved G elective or courses approved in the A-F subject areas beyond those used to satisfy the requirements of the A-F subjects.
