Choral/Vocal Program

The Palisades Charter High School Choir is made up of four ensembles: AM Choir, Concert Choir, Advanced Choir, and Acapali. Each ensemble focuses on building vocal technique, building musical literacy skills through sight singing, music theory, and performance skills. All of the ensembles perform challenging choral music spanning many genres, historical eras, languages and collaborate with student composers and professional composers on commissions of contemporary choral music. Students from this program have been invited to perform at multiple festivals in Southern California and internationally. The most recent festivals they have participated in are the San Francisco Heritage Festival in 2023,the Southern California Vocal Association Jazz / A Capella Festival in 2024, and the 2025 Grammy Awards Show.

AM Choir

This AM Choir is a non-auditioned choir open to all singers. Singers in this group learn how to read music and perform a diverse range of music at various events throughout the year.

Honors Concert Choir

Concert Choir is an advanced mixed choir at Pali High. Members of this group are selected by audition. This choir focuses on building vocal technique, building musical literacy skills through sight singing, music theory, and performance skills. This ensemble performs challenging choral music spanning many genres, historical eras, and languages. Students that complete this course will receive honors credit.

Advanced Choir

Advanced Choir is an advanced level mixed choir at Pali High. Members of this group are selected by audition. This choir focuses on preparing for festivals, competitions and other school events. Students taking this class will be

ready to perform at the collegiate level.

Acapali

Acapali is an advanced level a cappella group. Members of this group are selected by audition. They meet during 7th period and are also members of Advanced Choir. They represent some of the top musicians in the choral program at Pali and and perform at multiple events during the school year.
