Wind Ensemble
A highly accelerated concert band. Emphasis is placed on quality, excellence, poise, self-discipline, and mastery of musical concepts. The group is involved with many extracurricular activities. Students will engage in a highly accelerated study of the band repertoire. Participation is limited based on auditions preceding the school year.
Concert Band
Concert Band
Provides for development of musical skills on wind instruments after middle school through large ensemble work. General musicianship will be stressed. Various types of band literature will be performed. Participation in all scheduled rehearsals and performances is required. Participation is open to all students with previous instrumental training.
Percussion Ensemble
Percussion Ensemble
An ensemble course for percussion students, both experienced and new. Provides for development of musical skills on percussion instruments after middle school through large ensemble work and individual technique. General musicianship will be stressed. Various types of percussion literature will be performed. Participation in all scheduled rehearsals and performances is required.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band
Provides an opportunity to extend musical skills. Excellent musicianship, good reading skills, good technique and an interest in playing jazz are required. Participation in all scheduled rehearsals and performances is required. Participation is limited based on auditions during the spring preceding the school year.
