Notes from the Literary Magazine Staff

Dear readers...

INSERT NOTE FROM MISS D.

Lakyn Miller - Our schools Literary Magazine club is a wonderful place, and it means a lot to me. I get to spend almost every Monday afternoon with wonderful friends that I love to be with. It’s a safe wonderful place to be yourself. Although I get to spend time with a delightful group of kids everyone else in our school is just as important to me. Without everyone, we wouldn’t be able to create the magazine we get to. Some of you submit your work, others just spread the word, and I’m very grateful for that. Without all our marvelous students here in PA Distance, we wouldn’t have the amazing magazine we get to create.

Evan Grim ~ I joined the Literary Magazine Club because I'm really interested in everything to do with literature and other creative outlets. I was ecstatic to view all of the great submissions and to see how creative my peers at PA Distance were. We whittled down the submissions to those that we collectively thought would best form a cohesive showcase of what makes our student base so special. I can’t wait for you all to see the tremendous talent displayed on the following pages.

Faith Snelson - The Literary Magazine has helped me to gain experience when working with my other peers. It has helped me to think outside the box and reach beyond, creatively. When joining this club, I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't really know what The Literary Magazine was but I knew that it was going to challenge me to be more outgoing and more thoughtful. Since I tend to stay inside my tiny bubble, I thought that joining this club would help me a lot, and indeed it has. I’m very grateful for all the wonderful people in this club, and I would like to say they are all so kind and hilarious! In the future I will try my best to make my creativity blossom!

Jaanece Robertson - Lit-mag too me means everyone because you're giving not only 1 voice but many young creative and talented voices too show their special abilities to other young student. This magazine helps young people too learn different thing and allows them to be able to be known for something in our school. It gives students an out lit they can always go too and they get too see their name on a special page created for their art, poetry photography whatever. This magazine helps shows HOW TALENTED Pa students our. I am so glad to be apart of a wonderful working staff who works hard and takes the time Out too give a student a chance to show their talent.

McKenzie Jones - Literary Magazine means so much to me. We can express ourselves in so many different ways, creativity. I have made so many friends is this is a time just to let ourselves me free and our mind is an open box and we have the freedom to express all of our ideas. The magazine is so incredible. I’ve been in this club now for 2 years and I’ve become such a better writer. The students at PA Distance have such great talent. I’m so happy I am able to be a part of this amazing club and work with an amazing group of people. The club is always highlight of my day.

Michelle Ciobanu - Literary Magazine, to me, is more than just a club, but an expression. We are able to show, and write about who we truly are through literature along with writing from our hearts and not just our minds. We are able to express ourselves in more ways than one, with creativity, influence, and passion. I have only been in this club for one year now, but I have already learned so much about literature, writing, comprehension, and poetry.

Randi Shover - Literary Magazine truly is more than just a club. It focuses on everybody's expressions and possible tastes through art - writings, artwork, music, anything - and because of it, we become closer to another without even knowing it. We learn that one's life is rough. We learn that another loves romance or terrible endings in stories. We learn that somebody loves animals. We learn so much about somebody we don't even know that we can have an idea of what that stranger enjoys. And that's what I love about this club. It brings us all in together anonymously. I would be devastated if this club was to ever shut down.
