The quietness is breathtaking,
As I stand in the woods, anticipating
The first crackling sound of the fallen leaves rustling.
My heartbeat resounds loudly in my chest.
I catch a fleeting glance of burnished bronze coat of his majesty,
Under the gorgeous, gleaming green canopy.
He comes into my sights and makes the shot a reality,
The arrow whizzes passed my ear and the king comes to his regal rest.
The lady in the window mixing away at her stew,
On a snowy, wintery day waiting for her brood,
And this will be seen as her greatest legacy:
Her recipe made especially for you.
Doctor, no, this can not be!
How can you tell me about this misery?
She went to see you about a checkup,
And came away blown up.
You took the glowing gleam from her eyes,
And now all I hear in the dark of the night are her cries.
I tussel to towel the tears
Because I don’t want her to see my fears.
You forced her to struggle,
When I didn’t think she was a “muggle”--
I think she the most magical mom,
and know she can find the calm.
Fight the cancer,
I know the doctors have the answer!
We will help you if you start to lose your way,
I promise that I will not let you stray.
