Life isn’t as great as television and some movies make it out to be. In a way, that’s good. I mean, we aren’t living in a fantasy. Some fantasies turn out to be dark or have a chaotic twist to them. Believe me. Read The Complete Grimm Brothers’ Fairy Tales, you’ll learn what all those Disney movies actually mean. And some movies tend to have some sort of dramatic setting , though, some people think that their lives are a Lifetime movie. If you haven’t see them, they’re basically really cheesy dramas and have really strange plots and twists.
In this world, we’re judged. No matter who you are, or who you become. There’s really nothing people can do. I mean, people can stop judging others for something that doesn’t concern them. But it happens everywhere. I mean, countries judge other countries.
People are people. I judge. Sometimes. Not out loud, but if I’m in the mall and I see a couple and the girl's like a beauty queen and the boy’s not really eyecandy like the girl, then I’ll think, “Girl, you can do so much better,” but then I think, “Hey, if she loves him, then let it be.” Because it doesn’t concern me. It’s none of my business what goes on in other people’s lives unless it concerns me. I think what people don’t seem to realize is that, if you gave people a chance, things could actually work in this world. I don’t think there’s really any reason to judge people. I mean, people may judge bad people, but I believe there’s good in everyone, but that could just be me being arrogant. I haven’t really lived the real world. But if there is some bad people, there’s a lot of good people who do good things.
I think another thing people need to understand is that not everyone is perfect. You can look everywhere and I guarantee that you won’t find a perfect person. Everyone has dirt on them, but it’s their choice to clean it off and make up for it. I think as people, we expect a lot out of people, even when we don’t mean to. I feel like people want more than what they’re getting. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just an unhealthy thing. We should just accept what we have what we need and that’s more than what some people get.
The truth is, people have choices. For those who believe in religion and in God, you know that God gave you choices. You control yourself. No one else does. You can say, “Oh well, he made me do it.” Unless they held you down and threatened you with something, then they didn’t make you do anything. Since this seems to be a popular matter with a lot of kids I know. In fact most of the kids I know. Marijuana. Some kids say that their friends made them smoke it. Here’s where teens get pressured. Let’s say this guy named Jerry, who's never done any type of drugs, goes to a party with a lot of kids from school and there’s drugs being passed and a couple of his friends come up with a joint and hold it out to him and ask him if he wants a puff. Jerry has the choice to say no and refuse them, but then other kids start coming over and are watching him and pressuring Jerry into taking the joint. I think this happens to most kids who just want to fit in.
Your choices in life will help shape who you are and who you will be. Best advice anyone I could give is, just make the right choice.
