Who am I?
Who am I? some girl who walks around?
Or the girl who stands her ground?
I may be the girl you doesn’t back down,
But I know for sure to slow down.
I'm loving, I’m caring,
I even love sharing.
People break me down,
I build myself back up,
But won’t give up without a winner’s cup.
I see girls in the mall, pretty,
Then I think to myself: This leaves me no pity.
Who am I? some girl who walks around?
Or the girl who stands her ground?
“How hard is it to be one of us?
Come on, it ain’t hard, don't be a fuss.
It's not hard, just come here”
Sure (I just hide my fear).
It isn’t hard; it's just one lie,
But it is hard to just sit here and die.
How can it be so hard?
At least I’ll be a cute sweetheart.
Why do I try to hide behind my fears?
You know what, it is not hard to hide my tears.
I try so hard but have so much regret,
But all I do is break a sweat.
I won't hold back.
I am strong.
Just stay away,
I won't be long.
I’m proud of myself for being me,
The way I love and the way I see.
I talk about how I feel
to others; they make a spiel.
I stand above the crowd,
But I stay as soft as a cloud.
I made my choice,
Now please hear my voice.
I make this poem to share my vow,
And I hope someday I’ll make you proud.
Just stay ahead and stay awake,
And make sure you don't make people mad, or sad, or anything bad.
Just keep your head up,
And hopefully there is someone to back you up
