Dear Readers,
I am incredibly proud to present you with this year's literary magazine, subtitled "The Reach of Creativity." This year was an impressive year for the literary magazine, who spent all of November running workshops to teach other PA Distance students how to write mystery stories, poetry, graphic novels, fanfiction, and more. This year's staff was enthusiastic and hard-working, and the outpouring of fantastic submissions we received from PA Distance students was nothing short of inspiring! We at PA Distance are a small school, but we still have students with something to say, who are eager for the opportunity to say it.
Below, you will find what they had to say about this year's edition.
Ms. Hannah Lewis, Bridging the Distance Sponsor
From David: I think [the literary magazine] is important because it gives students a chance to share something of theirs for others to see. I think students would feel accomplished when they see their work put in. I want to thank everyone for the continous creativity. It means our school is filled with very talented kids who are going to make it somewhere in life. People look for that creativity.
From Jaanece: I would like to thank all the young authors that contributed to the this year's literary magazine. We all deeply appreciate your effort even if your writing or picture didn't make it. Keep creating more and more of your artwork and your writing because one of those pieces will make you known one day.
From Randi: The literary magazine club means a lot to me. I was able to have fun, and work on my own creative writing. I am extremely proud of those whose submissions were published! They all did an amazing job.
From Jess: This year's subtitle, "The Reach of Creativity," means reaching far beyond and thinking of so many creative ideas, the only limits being my own imagination.
From Kaia: The Literary Magazine means a lot more to me than I knew it would. I never published any of my work before, but when I did, it felt really liberating. It is an escape for a lot of people that have a thick artistic streak in them.
From McKenzie: The subtitle "The Reach of Creativity" means creativity reaches all around the world, especially in this cyber school since we are all around the state. Literary Magazine club was a time I looked forward to.
