You were the Moon

You were the moon and I was the star

For the whole galaxy could see

That you shined far brighter than I

Your glimmer vast against the Northern Lights.

I wish that in another life

That we could be side by side

Though I know this never to be true

But I would dim my entire light for a single night with you.

To thee I could never compare

For you’re the glow and I’m the light

So humble, quiet, and kind

But me the star, wishing you were mine.

Finding it hard to place the words

Of all the things I wish to say

To show you how I feel

My love for you is pure the feeling far too real.

As the Northern Lights fade

The stars go to bed

And the night comes to an end

Waiting for the dark so I may see you again.

With these few words

Thy heart I wish to win

In hoping that you may swoon

For I’m just the star who's in love with the moon.

Life’s too Short

Life’s too short to only live once,

For I will live forever .

My moments here will be legendary.

Time ticking by is scary.

I have thought of 1 million things,

So much I will never get to do ,

But I could think of 1 million more

Of pointless things that I adore.

Dreams of going to the Bahamas,

A life with my toes in the sand.

I will make my dreams a reality,

Knowing nothing in this life is free.

I will climb Mt. Everest.

I can defy the odds,

For I plan to fly across and ocean

Distracted by the view so strong is my devotion.

I will forever be chased by time,

The endless ticking counting down

Second by second, minutes to hours.

I will live forever, for time holds no power.
