Too many troubles in the world to count
Too many lies in the world to not doubt
Cruelty
Out stepped the one who has seen the light
But all she sees now is blight
She has seen happiness
Joy
She reflects back on the world, to see disappointment
She has wounds so deep they have minds of their own
“How about a therapist appointment?”
She said to herself
Disassociation
“Has it always been this difficult?”
“Who are you?”
“Who have I been, this whole time..?”
“I care what you think.”
“Wake up. You’re hopeless.”
“Follow the system.”
Fear
She heard. It scarred her mind
She learned that it was not kind
“Tell me who they are.”
“Can you hear me?”
“They are wrong.”
“I care what you think.”
Anxiety
“⸮ainerhproztihcS”
Words haunted her mind
Faces dotted the skies
Were they just lies?
Everything could be a lie
Everything she knew
For which all she’s fought
All she thought?
“Semper Fi.”
