At the end of a cold, brittle winters day,
I went inside colder than the town's bay.
The snow was glistening all night and all day,
So I decided to stay far away.
I drank hot chocolate as if it were dear,
And as I was warmed, I started to cheer.
I then saw the trees began melting here,
And then I pulled a book from my top shelf.
I read about nature while I sing;
I read about spring and what it will bring.
I read and read ‘till the flowers do sing.
I walked outside to see the sun warming;
And my, oh my, what a wonderful sight,
Nature is such a wonderful delight.
