Week beginning - Monday 5th January 2026
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
This week Year 3 started work on their new inquiry, 'Artistic expression influences our culture and world views'. To begin with children discussed the question ' What is art?' with each other. Children followed this up by creating a few pieces of art related to their favourite animal, using anything from salt-dough to paint. We have looked at the post-impressionism art of Vincent Van Gogh, with a big fascination on why he cut his ear off and then we gave King Charles III a Pop Art makeover inspired by Andy Warhol. It really has been a colourful first week back!
