Mr Moore's News Update
Dear parents and carers,
It seems that we have been at the mercy of the weather since returning to school since the Christmas holidays. I thank you all for your patience this week across the deluge. Our drainage system has been overwhelmed and thus we have a number of areas on our site which require increased caution. The Early Years playground and driveway being most heavily impacted. Work is continuing to diagnose the issues so that we can rectify the problems.
Our house reward event took place this week with Nyasi leading the way with the most house points last term. The events are always a fantastic culmination in team work and collaboration that means so much to our school community.
We also welcomed Conjesta from our link school in Bereko to our Early Years setting earlier this week. Conjesta is the Head Teacher of the Kondoa Diocese Primary School which is the fourth best performing school in Tanzania. We were ever so lucky to be afforded her time in which she shared her lived experiences, cultural differences and shone light on how school differs in her country to ours.
Cultural capital and personal development is a key part of our curriculum and we always welcome visitors who wish to share their unique stories to inspire and enlighten our children. Our diverse community is one which we are very proud of and aim to provide all children with a wealth of knowledge and experiences to enrich their educational journey.
If you wish to share your culture, work and experiences with the children at any point then please liaise with the school office, we welcome this as part of our Personal Development curriculum with careers days, cultural experiences and inspirational talks.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Moore

Please do not allow the children to use scooters or bicycles on site. Children must dismount at the gates.
Another reminder about parking carefully in the surrounding streets. We are receiving numerous complaints from our local residents. It is unsafe to park illegally and dangerous for our children as well as not being considerate of our neighbours.

#WakeUpWednesday is a campaign by the National Online Safety organisation. It's designed to help parents and carers stay informed about the latest online trends and platforms that their children might be using.
Every Wednesday, a new guide or resource is released, offering simple tips and advice on how to keep children safe online. These guides cover a range of topics, from popular apps and games to general online safety issues like cyberbullying and privacy. The goal is to start a conversation between adults and children about staying safe in the digital world.
We will upload these guides/resources here every week.
