Find out the basics, and more, on each of our annual events. Scouting is a year round activity, and we try to keep our scouts busy each and every month. Here are just some of the examples of Pack 4050's Annual Events:
Each year our scouts participate in at least two events in the Cortland Street Fair...
The pinewood derby is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families. Then they race the cars in competition. The cars are powered by gravity and run down a track. Every boy can design and build his own "grand prix" car to enter in the race.
Popcorn Sales
Our largest fundraiser of the year. Each scout that particpates will receive a portion of their sales that they can directly apply to any scouting activity including fees, supplies and more!
Raingutter Regatta
The pinewood derby, but on the open seas... Well, technically inside strategically placed rain gutters filled with water. This race favors the heavy winded, as Scouts use straws to exhale their boats down the gutter tracks to victory!

Helping to celebrate a Scout's relationship with God, as well as mark the start of Scout Week (the Celebration of Founder's Day).
Several of our local Sports organizations offer amazing experiences with their "Scout nights" at their stadiums/venues. These could be on field/rink/pitch activities, special opening ceremonies, parades, give-a-ways, or even over nighters!
Held at one of the local area camps each year, this frozen camp out is one of our Scouts favorites. Cabin or tent, it's up to you. A weekend of camping combined with all day activities on that Saturday brings warm smiles and frozen Scout Leaders each and every year!
Cub Scouts help out the Marines with their annual Toys-for-Tots program.
This is only a small list of the events our pack particpates in every year. In addition, each Den will have specific events and outings to satisfy their requirements and electives for advancement. See your leaders for more information!
